Duo Orgelklang & Flötenzauber (Organ Sound & Flute Magic)

The solo instrument in this instrumentation is mainly the piccolo flute, played by Andrea Will. In addition there are works for flute and organ as well as organ solo.
The piccolo flute is rarely used as a solo instrument and is primarily known as the crown of sound in the orchestra as well as in marching music.
In the low register its somewhat “smoky” sound resembles that of the panpipe, in the high register it is able to make very fast figurations precisely audible and asserts itself even against a sonorous accompaniment.
Besides classical works and adaptations, the program mainly consists of works by Stamms, which were composed especially for this instrumentation.
